I am a dreamy scholar who loves reading, writing, and investigating my own spirituality, but I also have a passion for sports like gymnastics and hockey even though I could not play either of these to save my uncoordinated hide. When I was little, I watched the 1996 Magnificent Seven steal the gold and America’s hearts in Atlanta, and I was one of thousands of girls from coast to coast who enrolled in gymnastics only to discover that I would never be able to twist myself into a pretzel. As far as hockey goes, I grew up watching the dynasty that was the Devils in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, s0 I will always have soft spots for amazing goalies and dynamic d-men, although my tastes have recently broadened to include forwards particularly of the two-way or play-making variety.
